Edera Real Bride: Roxana
A customized jewelry set for a destination beach wedding
I have a breathtakingly beautiful real wedding to share with you today! Bride-to-be Roxana contacted me last year about creating a special jewelry set to wear on her wedding day. She was looking for a pair of earrings and matching bracelet that would both complement her gorgeous lace Pnina Tornai gown and tie in with the relaxed elegance of her destination wedding on the beautiful beaches of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Roxana had seen the Aiglentine bracelet--a ribbon-tied cuff bracelet with a large floral handcrafted lace embellishment at the center--in my collection and felt drawn to that design. Its ivory freshwater pearls and stylized rose lace motif tied into the lace of her wedding dress. Since her wedding color palette incorporated a soft blush pink, I selected a silk ribbon in a similar shade to use for the ties of the bracelet, and embroidered pink pearl accents on the lace.
The Nereid earrings, a romantic statement earring inspired by seashells, seemed like the perfect choice to complete a beach wedding look. Like the cuff bracelet, the earrings featured intricate handcrafted lace motifs made with luxe real silver threads. A mix of pearls in shades of blush tied in with the beading of the bracelet, while pale blue opal vintage rhinestones added "something blue" to her wedding day look.
Congratulations to Roxana and Gene! Scroll down to see more images from their wedding day, beautifully photographed by Asia Pimentel.
