General

Are your designs available to rent for weddings or events?

Our rental designs cater to photographers and other wedding-industry professionals, stylists, and costume designers, and are not available to rent for weddings or other special events.

If you’re interested in a design for your special day, please visit the retail collection of bridal and special occasion accessories on our main website, www.ederajewelry.com.

How are the rental designs different from the ones in your retail bridal collection?

The designs in the Rental Collection have been designed and carefully curated with photographers in mind. They are frequently one-of-a-kind designs that often use unusual materials (such as antique lace) or feature a larger amount of couture detailing, such as handmade lace, hand-embroidery and hand-beaded details.

How far in advance should I reserve my designs?

We recommend allowing as much time as possible, to make sure that the designs you are interested in renting are available for your photoshoot date. To provide enough time for shipping, it’s recommended to reserve the designs at least two weeks out from your shoot.

How long is the rental period?

The rental period is for 5 days and starts on the day that the designs are delivered to you. The rental period does not include the transit times for shipping, which vary, but does include:

  • a buffer period of 1–2 days before your shoot to account for any shipping delays

  • 1 day for the shoot itself

  • and a 2-day period after the project to package and ship the designs back

How do you handle photoshoot postponements?

Please contact us if your photoshoot’s date changes after you’ve reserved designs. Postponements are handled on a case-by-case basis, as there are many variables. Depending on how far out the shoot date is and whether the designs are reserved for other projects, we may be able to extend the borrow period or arrange for a reschedule at a later date. Additional charges may apply.

Are there special care instructions?

All Edera Jewelry designs feature handcrafted lace. When possible, put designs on models after their hair and makeup have been completed, as beauty products can potentially discolor the textile elements.

Wired design elements can be very gently molded back into place if bent during shipping.

To prevent tangling and snagging, please return all designs to their cards and keep the samples in the pouches/boxes provided when shipping or storing.

Do you feature images?

Yes! We love to showcase designs from shoots on both our website and on social media. Please send any images/galleries and a full credit list to ivy@ederajewelry.com, or tag us at @ederajewelry.rentals.

I’m a photographer and would like to buy designs for my photography studio. Are pieces available for purchase?

Yes, please get in touch if you are interested in purchasing designs outright, either from the Rental Collection or from our Bridal Collection. We offer a trade discount to photographers.


Additional Fees

Do you charge a repair or cleaning fee for damaged merchandise?

Since the rental designs are used for multiple shoots, there may be small signs of wear and tear, which aren’t noticeable in photography. We inspect all designs for issues before shipping. If the rental is returned substantially damaged or stained, a repair or cleaning fee will be assessed (which varies by design and the severity of the damage).

Do you charge a late fee?

There is a $25 late fee assessed for each item, for each day beyond the return date of the rental period. If, at the end of 14 days, the return label provided by us has not been scanned by USPS, the full retail value of the items will be invoiced to you, in addition to the late charges accrued.

What is your fee for lost, stolen, or irreparably damaged designs?

Designs that are lost, stolen, or irreparably damaged will be invoiced for the full MSRP of the design.

Is there a cancellation charge?

Cancellations must be made 15 days before the shoot date. Cancellations made during this time frame are eligible for a store credit, or for 50% refund of the rental amount, only. Cancellations made after 14 days from the shoot date are not eligible for a refund.

Shipping

Is shipping included in the cost?

Yes, the shipping costs are included in the price of the rental. This includes the shipping to you, as well as a pre-paid return label, for a simple, streamlined return process. We ship using USPS Priority Mail (2–4 days).

Where do you ship?

We are based in Vermont and ship within the United States.

What happens if I can’t return the designs by the return ship-by date?

There is a $25 late fee assessed for each item, for each day outside of the rental period. If, at the end of 14 days, the return label has not been scanned by USPS, the full retail value of the items will be invoiced to you, in addition to the late charges accrued.

What happens if my rental arrives early?

We calculate shipping dates to allow enough transit time for the rentals to arrive before your shoot. There is no additional charge if your rental arrives early.

What happens if my rental doesn’t arrive in time for my shoot?

While we make every effort to ship rentals with enough transit time to avoid late deliveries, sometimes there are shipping delays outside of our control. We are not responsible for late deliveries due to USPS. Refunds are not available on late deliveries, but a store credit will be issued (minus shipping costs incurred).

How do I return the rentals at the end of the borrow period?

Please keep the pre-paid return label and all of the packaging materials provided. At the end of the shoot, repack everything in the box, place the return label on the outside, and drop it off at a USPS location. Do not place it in a USPS mailbox or outside for pick up by your postal carrier.


Ordering Information

How do I reserve an item for rental?

There is an inquiry form at the bottom of each rental item information page, where you’ll be ask to provide some information regarding your shoot date, your business, and what styles you would like to borrow. You’ll receive a response within 2 business days. Once the details have been confirmed, you’ll be directed to a link to complete a secure checkout and sign our rental contract.


When is the payment due?

Payment is due at the time of checkout, after the rental details have been confirmed. The payment secures your place in our rental schedule.


What payment options do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, AfterPay, or PayPal.


What is your cancellation policy?

Do you offer local pickup?

We’re a working studio and do not have a storefront available to the public. All rentals are processed through the website.
